Gan Soek Lan

Award-winning designs shaped by hand, gemstone by gemstone — where traditional craftsmanship meets a devotion to natural beauty.

The Designer

A Story Set in Stone

Born and raised in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Gan Soek Lan discovered her craft through formal training at the Chin Jewellery Art Centre in Kuala Lumpur, where she earned her diploma in jewellery design.

What began as a study of gemstones, metal and form has grown into a body of work defined by patience, precision and an instinct for natural beauty — the same instinct that would go on to earn her national recognition at just 25 years old.

Credentials

  • Diploma in Jewellery Design — Chin Jewellery Art Centre, Kuala Lumpur

— Gan Soek Lan

The Craft

Drawn Before It Is Made

Every design begins on paper — rendered by hand in gouache, gemstone by gemstone, before a single stone is set or metal cast. It is a slower, deliberate way of working, one that lets colour, proportion and light be resolved on the page first.

This hand-drawn discipline is the same practice behind “Crystallisation of Love” and “Rainbow After Rain” — and it remains the starting point for every commission today.
